Hello Folks !Woohoo ! It has been awhile since I've lasted posted anything here. Well, lets just say life caught up with me. Went to reservist for 2 weeks starting from the last week of December 2007 up to the first week of January 2008.
I promised myself that I would a review of 2007 for myself. Well, here are the highlights.
Work advancement
- Hah, more of a bigger dartboard. I would like to thank the team for all the support that they have rendered to me. I will try my best not to screw things up and be there for you folks through thick or thin. Heh, not sure of the thick anymore.. but oh well, life goes on.
Breaking up... again
- The stupidity of some people... The inability of some people to just pick up from where they left and move on in their lives.
Third party
- Well, screwed up one person's love life. Almost did with another. Got to learn not to succumb to emotions and go around screwing up people's lives.
Being nice
- People always have this erronous perception of me hoping for something out the goodness that I do to people. Well, I'm sorry to disappoint you that good guys still exist in this world and not only in the movies.
Platonic relationship
- Yes, it does exist. After the breakup, maybe I found strength in doing this... Hopefully I can do this better in 2008 hahaha...
Driving
- Well, sometimes when your heart is not set to doing something at that moment, you just don't want to carry on with it, knowing the outcome of it. Well, I did what most people wouldn't expect me to do and postpone the final evaluation. Well, lets just hope that it will bear dividends later on eh...
Aahh... I think that's it. Of course there are minor minor details that I may have missed out. Maybe thats what they are. Minor details.
Not actually looking forward to work on Tuesday... Sigh.. prolly gotten used to the emptyness of reservist. My mind is at total ease... Life is simple. During rest periods, we spent time the old fashioned way. Yak abt our lives, some of them married life. Driving tips haha. Played carrom. For those who don't know, its some sort of a cheaper version of pool or snooker, with your fingers as your cue stick and try to hit the seeds into the holes with the striker. Hahah... I can't help but smiling to myself every time I woke up at 5.30am in the morning. It lifts the entire bulk of issues that I have in my life. The feeling of freedom... Reservist sorts of re-boots your mind.. maybe wanting you to prepare for the issues that lie ahead of your life, perhaps ?
Well, during the new year's eve off days, instead of heading down to town (which is congested with human and vehicular traffic...), managed to sneak some time with Ariff and Ben to catch the fireworks display at... WOODLANDS ! Oh my God, it was up close and personal ! They were spectacular. Ariff uploaded a video of it, including "commentary". I apologise for the excessive vulgarities in it... But was soo excited about watching it so close... Jus check it out... The best part is, it is just 2 blocks away from my house... talk about starting the year with a BANG ! They say that the year would go better if you start it well... lets see how it goes...
