Well, enough about "blind" people at work. Lets see what I did for the weekend.
Oh yes, rented a car for three full days... Started from Friday afternoon. Picked the car at around 12.15pm. Needs 20 mins to settle the admin stuff and all. But I have to admit, I am pretty impressed with them. Doing things professionally. Rented myself a Fiat Punto Grande. Damn fine automobile. Checked the price out at the end... S$67000... my God. I'd settle for S$200 for 3 days thank you... oh yes... no extra charge for p-plate drivers :-)
Hang out with the usual suspects on Friday night, since I got the car. Woohoo... damn nice... Really needed the gatherings with my friends. Eased up my mind abit. They remind me that life is not all about work. Thanks folks... Really appreciate it. Had dinner at Boat Quay. My God, felt bloated after that. Cannot drive. Felt really full. Then chilled at Holland V for a while. Very nice place. Never chilled at Holland V before. Saw my MP and his family. Very gorgeous looking daughter... hehehe. Drove back home with blurred eyes, thanks to contact lenses and prolonged exposure to air con.
Saturday was good. People were raving about the zoo. Went there with the family. I have to say this. The zoo is crap. My mum was utterly disgusted and disappointed with the zoo. It is definitely not worth the entry fee of S$21.50. The animals look zombified, the shows were crap... but the arguing Nepalese couple sitting in front of us was good looking. The girlfriend was gorgeous... mmm damn Gurkhas... heh...
Headed to Simpang Bedok for lunch. The coffeeshops were boring. We went to Mad Jack, in Simpang Bedok instead. Had the set lunches. Yummy. I noticed that I have been eating alot, but didn't want to weigh myself. Just want to be surprised like the other time... need the airport weighing scale hehe.... Then head to Changi Airport to take a crap... Couldn't find the sheltered carpark. No choice but to drop the family at the drop off point and park in the middle of the rain. Haha, of all places to take a crap... hell they have superb lavatories... if that's the way it's spelled...
After a short tour of the airport, went back to the car, running, pick the family up and head towards Changi, where our family started. Mum started to tell stories of yesteryear... hehe.... went to the road behind the Airport... yeap.. did my research abit on Singapore roads... Thank You directory streetmap...woohoo...
In the rain passing thru the speed regulating strips... felt hungry. Went to Jalan Kayu for dinner. woohoo... nice... the place changed but the food still stays the same... parked head in.. ahahah damn lazy to do reverse parking and all... Then Mazeeks suggested Ikea Tampines next.. maybe getting some stuff for her room... Zoomed there in 20 mins from there... Mum screaming in the car hahaha... yeap... no thanks to four seasons of Knight Rider hehehe...
Arrived at Ikea. Did the best shortcut parking ever... went thru the opposite lot to park head out of the actual lot... hahaha..... Mazeeks was amused by that and actually commented on my superb parking abilities.. not to mention the weavings at the CTE, PIE, AYE bla bla bla... hahaha... Mazeeks did grab her stuff for her room. Made use of the surprisingly spacious boot space of the Punto Grande... No wonder Farihin loves driving his car... I can see why now...
Then went to Giant. Damn, it is huge... but disappointing. Mum highlighted that the NTUC over at our place is cheaper... dammit haha... walked around abit and then leave for home. 10pm. What a day. Thoroughly enjoyed myself, spending time with my family. It has been a long while since the last time I spend my time, effort and money with them... It was really worth it... Their happy faces. Made me forget about work for a while... It was good... No.. it was great...
Heh, lazy to write about Sunday.. or Monday.. I had fun on Sunday.. and Monday.... :-) thanks folks.. as usual...
Yes, thanks Mazeeks.. I know you hate to say it... but my driving is now closer to Michael Knight... woohoo ! yeak... When we get the car... its going to be black... BLACK..... !!!!

Finally, the weekends. Saturday. I needed a break from work. I needed to get out of work. Work sucks. I tendered. 1 Aug 2008.
*** Removed due to request ***
In my most shittiest hour, people still expect me to put others before me. I couldn't anymore. Not after what happened. I was played out. Turned on a blind eye by my so-called buddy. Cannot help but feel that he is making use of me. My own team leader, or should I say Ops Lead or APSM. Good luck for your future role. You don't need me anymore. You are very very talented and capable of transforming DNA and bring the best out of it. Richard looks up to you. Sharon looks up to you. You don't need me...
Siti, on the other hand, is being very very nice to me. Didn't even bother to lambast me. The person I expect to lambast me said nice things to me instead. Sorry for expecting something bad from you Siti. Thank you.
The team can do it without me. Who am I? I am nothing, just another irritant. A joke. The team is not where it is because of me. Its because of him. Freddie. I don't expect them to say, hey Zaki, you are the team. No. I am not. I am never that person. Never.
Now, there is a new team leader. Ruzanna. She will do a bang of a job, trust me. You all don't need me. I am nothing. Only emotional wreck
(edited). She said so too.
Time will fly by very slowly... Please, I beg of you all. Don't talk to me anymore. Don't tell me to stay or anything. Please. There is no passion or heart left in me to do this anymore. Issues, refreshers, process, training, going around asking if the ticket they logged is okay, price check is done or not, validation report okay or not, checked things before logging ticket or not, laptop problems, phone issues, IT issues, Intel, need explanation on process, how to do this, why is this that way bla bla bla... NO MORE... And NO, I don't need a break. I need a change. Change of employer.
Just endure this 4 weeks that you have with me. It will all be over soon folks... Elvis will leave the building... Soon... Soon... Patience... Just hang on... A little bit more.. It will all be over... Soon.
